Family Visitation Services & Parent/Caregiver Groups

Family Visitation Services

The Access and Visitation Program provides trained Visit Supervisors to supervise visits between children and non-custodial parents/guardians.  The best interest of the child involved will always be our primary concern.

In Transition to Parenting (TIP) a family meets with a Master’s-level Visit Supervisor to help with the transition issues that interfere with the reunification visit of the non-custodial parent and the child/children.  This program is recommended before Supervised Visitation when it is determined that the child/children need extra support before they can safely visit with the non-custodial parent.

In the Supervised Visitation Program (SV) the non-custodial parent meets with the child/children on a regular schedule, under the guidance of at least a Bachelor-level Visit Supervisor who provides a varying degree of support and structure.

Referrals are made through the Hartford/New Britain Court Support Service Division, Family Service Unit to Klingberg Family Centers’.  This program is funded by Access and Visitation Grant.
