Welcome, “Home-Kids”

If you were a “Home Kid,” someone who grew up in the Children’s Home between 1903 and 1970, we consider you part of the Klingberg family and welcome you to come back and visit. If you are the child or grandchild of a Home Kid, we count you as family as well. We may have documents, photographs, or other records of your childhood to share with you. You likely have both positive and negative memories of being here. We understand, and we are glad to listen to your stories.
Thanks to a grant by CT Humanities and the help of the team at SMC Partners, we now have an online portal to allow Children’s Home alumni and their families secure and confidential access to photos, archives, and news articles online. The photos and documents on this portal are ONLY accessible to alumni and their families. To receive access to the site, please contact Mark Johnson, Vice President Emeritus, at markj@klingberg.org.
