Central Connecticut State University’s School of Education & Professional Studies held their Celebration of Alumni Excellence on Thursday, November 10. As well as honoring CCSU alumni, the event honored Klingberg Family Centers as an Outstanding Community Partner, along with the Community Foundation of Greater New Britain and Cromwell Public Schools.

Klingberg was recognized specifically for our partnership with CCSU in the Klingberg/CCSU Family Therapy Institute. Established in 2007, this partnership provides a community placement with supervision and training for second-year practicum students (entry-level) and third-year interns (advanced students who receive intensive training). Lauren Pedersen, LMFT, Clinical Coordinator for the Outpatient Clinic and Family Therapy Institute, serves as the on-site faculty supervisor/clinical coordinator.
