Dr. Steven Girelli, President & CEO, of Klingberg Family Centers has been elected to the Board of Directors for the National Association of Private Special Education Centers (NAPSEC). NAPSEC represents more than 200 private special education and adult service programs nationally and more than 800 at the state level through the Council of Affiliated State Associations (CASA). NAPSEC members include private early intervention providers, schools, residential therapeutic centers, and adult day and living programs which provide special education services to individuals with disabilities of all ages.
“Klingberg’s Raymond Hill School, located on our New Britain campus, provides special education services to roughly 100 students each year; many of whom have experienced tremendous challenges in their young lives,” said Dr. Girelli. “I’m grateful to rejoin NAPSEC’s Board of Directors after a three-year hiatus to support the ongoing advancement and advocacy for our nation’s special education schools and programs.”
“NAPSEC relies on its board of directors and committee members to set direction and lead important initiatives for the organization and our members across the country,” said Danielle Damm, Executive Director and CEO. “We are thrilled to have Dr. Girelli join our board for a sixth term and look forward to continuing to work with him in the coming years.”
