On September 1st, Klingberg Family Centers hosted all DCF Region 6 management staff for the Reconnecting to Wellness Retreat. There were 46 in attendance, including social work supervisors, program managers, clinical support managers, office directors, and Regional Administrator Tina Jefferson.

The Reconnecting to Wellness Retreat was a full-day retreat for all levels of management from both the New Britain and Meriden DCF offices to come together to connect and rejuvenate their leadership team. The retreat was facilitated by John Engel, who led the group to understand their shared history as an organization, team, and individuals. This was followed by several outdoor activities to facilitate discussion on how systems impact the work we do. Lastly, the group developed strategies to move forward as a team.

This event was a unique opportunity for Klingberg, as our staff coordinated the event from developing the agenda to identifying the facilitator and hosting all other components of the day.
