Leadership Effectiveness Training Series Begins

Breakout groups keep participants engaged.

Klingberg Family Centers has recently begun The Leadership Effectiveness Series presented by author, consultant, and speaker David O’Brien, President of WorkChoice Solutions. The series began in January and will continue into next fall and quickly sold out at 50 registrants, including 40 of our own leadership staff and 10 sent by the Workers’ Compensation Trust. Because the demand exceeded our maximum enrollment of 50, a second offering of the same series will begin in April.

The Leadership Effectiveness Series is designed to equip leaders with the tools they need for future success. “A key success factor for leaders today is the ability to achieve peak performance through the efforts of many people,” says David O’Brien. The series will help participants grasp the range and scope of best proactive leadership principles, learn new skills to increase their influence and impact as leaders, expand their ability to resolve conflict and build consensus, and build a road map for further development.

Topics include appreciating generational differences, building a culture of accountability, understanding different styles, the leader as a coach, and leading through change. Early feedback has been very positive, with participants excited about the content and the engaging style of the instructor.

This training series is part of Klingberg’s Professional Development Center, representing a continued emphasis on providing quality, up-to-date education for employees as well as other professionals and community members.
