Phoenix Rising Soaps at Powder Ridge

The residents of Phoenix House, one of our girls’ group homes, have been busy crafting things to sell this summer at Powder Ridge. The ski resort has a farmer’s market every Sunday from 10:00am to 2:00pm.

Led by staff Stephanie Freedman-Edson, the girls have made assorted soaps, lip balms, bath bombs, lotion bars, as well as body lotion for sale. In addition, they have also been creating individual pieces to sell. This has been an amazing adventure for them, as they have been involved in the entire process from making and packaging to selling and tracking inventory. They have learned skills related to budgeting, handling money, interacting with people, as well as sharing individual talents, and have discovered the joy of creating something worthwhile.

Show them some love by stopping by the Powder Ridge Farmer’s Market on Sundays through the end of September!
