Three of Klingberg’s Therapeutic Crisis Intervention trainers recently had the opportunity to attend the 4th International Conference held by the Residential Child Care Project at Cornell University (RCCP). The conference was entitled “Building a Community of Practice,” and according to the RCCP/Cornell University website was designed to “highlight the importance of communities of practice in creating conditions for learning which lead to improving caregiver practice and outcomes for children and families.”

Liz Boilard, Jaime Morales, and Barbara DiValentino enjoyed international speakers, research presentations, workshops, and a family and children’s panel, allowing them to immerse themselves in relevant information. They appreciated the opportunities to network and gain insight into the complex issues that challenge our work and our attempts to serve the best interests of children and families. In the evening, they enjoyed a barbeque and a dinner cruise on board the Saint Du Sacrament on the beautiful and picturesque Lake George, NY.
